14 Dec We Need To Talk…
With 2016 coming to an end, I need to call you out on some s#!t that you’ve been doing this year (and not doing)…
I’m not sure what it is personally for you, but I KNOW there are things that you wanted to accomplish this year and you DIDN’T, as well as things you DIDN’T want to do BUT DID!
The reason for me bringing this up now is because at the end of this year, I don’t want you to look back at 2016 and be disappointed.
Disappointed in yourself, your health, your career, your relationships, your appearance, and how you allow people to treat you.
Whether you let someone walk all over you and hurt you emotionally,
or if you sabotaged your health by eating WAY TOO MUCH crap food and packed on the body fat,
or if you let your fitness drop off by not following a consistent workout routine and are now suffering for it!
Whatever it is…
I’m calling you out on it right now.
Firstly, because I care about you…
And secondly, because who else is gonna do it!! ??
I’m a “tough-love” kinda guy. I speak my mind unapologetically, with the best intentions for everyone.
My motto… “WIN/WIN”…
If people don’t like me for that, that’s ok with me.
The people closest to you, who love you dearly, are either in the same situation as you, or they are too nice to call you on your bulls#!t, because they don’t want to hurt your feelings.
I get it.
But that’s not me.
If you hate on me because I’m calling you out, I’ll still sleep well at night, because I know it’s the right thing.
I’m not offended if you’re offended. Because deep down I know that you’re only pissed off at yourself, not me.
I’m clear on my mission in my life. And I want the same for you too.
My mission is to WAKE people up to the concept that we can ALL have the best health ever, the best life ever, the best relationships ever, the best career ever, and the best year ever!
And it all starts with honesty.
Being honest with yourself first.
So where did you mess up this year?
I know there’s something, because we all have something that didn’t end the way we wanted it to. Me included.
And it’s ok…
As long as you’re honest and brave enough to acknowledge it, and learn from it.
I recently read a book called “Win Or Learn”…
The title says it all.
It’s a book written by a very successful MMA coach John Kavanagh who is the coach of UFC undisputed champion of two weight divisions, Conor McGregor.
This book outlined not only the beauty of martial arts, which has been a passion of mine ever since I saw my very first Bruce Lee movie in the early 80’s called “Enter The Dragon” (still my favourite movie of all time), but also the beauty of learning from mistakes.
In the pro sports world, athletes are constantly failing and winning. Its the most direct, in your face, unavoidable feedback you could possibly get.
Whether it’s a soccer team losing a big match, a track athlete coming in last, or a fighter getting knocked out cold in front of millions of TV viewers, and thousands of live spectators.
These athletes are trained to pick themselves up after a defeat, learn from their mistakes, improve, and attack again.
A great quote I loved from Conor McGregor after his first professional loss to Nate Diaz…
“we can either run from our adversity, or we can face our adversity head on, and conquer it.”
(4 months later they had a rematch and McGregor defeated Diaz convincingly).
This is a winning attitude, and brings success in your life.
We can learn a lot from successful pro athletes, whether they are fighters, runners, golfers, or soccer players.
If they are winning, it’s because of their attitude, and commitment to success, and getting better!
It takes alot.
And a willingness to fail, learn, and try again.
And again, and again, and again if necessary…
So in closing, I don’t want you to b!#ch and moan about all the things that didn’t go your way in 2016.
I want you to pick yourself up, take the hard lesson, and use it to fuel you towards success!
Get committed, get obsessed, and make the end of 2016, the ENTIRE 2017, and the rest of your life a MASSIVE success!
Can you do it?
We all can.
Let’s do it together!
Have the best day!
