07 Jul Are You Feeling “Stuck” …Get Ready For Some Tough Love!
(you’ll have to excuse the “french” in this blog post. I’m a passionate guy and don’t apologise for that).
Are you stuck in a rut?
Maybe you put it down to being in a dead-end-job or a career that’s no longer serving you.
Or maybe your relationship isn’t going as smooth as you expected it would because your partner has different plans, goals, dreams for the future compared to you, or maybe he/she doesn’t have any future aspirations at all! And this pissed you off or makes you sad!
Maybe you haven’t found that prince charming or perfect woman to settle down with yet.
You might be 5, 10, 20kgs overweight and it’s taking it’s toll on you. Food addictions, emotional eating, bad habits etc…
All of these things are definitely contributing to your feelings of being “stuck”, however there is not one single thing listed above that we can pin point as the direct culprit for how you feel.
Here’s what’s happening.
You’re not living a life congruent with your passion and what’s really important to you!
It takes courage to step up and make significant life changes!
It’s f**king hard!
That’s why it takes rock bottom to finally move forward and build the courage to change.
I wanted to be a business owner ever since I was a teenager. But I didn’t take the plunge until I was 29 years old.
And it’s only because my life situation at the time became so unbearable that I had no choice but to change it.
I don’t recommend this!
Do we really need to hit rock bottom before we FINALLY take the plunge into the life changes that make us happy?
Did I need to despise my old boss and management team before I left my Job?
Was it necessary to get into a screaming match with my parents before I decided to move out of home?
And did I need to get life threatening sick before I decided to focus on transforming my health?
I’ve been through some shit in my life.
Yes it’s made me the independent, confident man that I am today, but could I have avoided the hard lessons and still reach my “happy place” without it?
It takes self awareness, courage (or “balls” as I so eloquently like to put it), as well as clarity and honesty with what you really want, to make changes before the sh*t hit’s the fan in your life!
If you’re in a rut today, I suggest that you’re not living true to your highest purpose and life intentions.
Why is this?
Don’t have the “balls” to change it? (I can relate to that)
Don’t know what you want? (I relate also)
Don’t know HOW to make the change? (been there too)
I guess the most important thing, and the first step is to acknowledge that you’re in a situation that you’re not happy with.
Secondly, accept that YOU have the power to change it. (even if it scares the sh*t out of you)
Thirdly, take some time out to get clarity on what you actually want, and draft up a blue print for your new life.
Lastly, break down all the walls and go for it with massive action and energy! (don’t worry, you will have energy to succeed if it’s your true calling).
I started a business from nothing. Zero. In a market that I was told was completely over saturated and too competitive!
Too competitive? haha..
Seriously, these are just other peoples fears projecting onto you.
Do you want to start a business doing what you’re passionate about?
Do you want a better relationship?
Do you want to lose 20kgs?
All of these things are hard!
SO WHAT! Everything worthwhile is!
It’s also hard to put up with a sh*t job or partner.
It’s hard to put on 20kgs of fat and walk around with it all day!
Everything is hard! But it’s much easier doing a “hard” workout everyday when you’re not carrying 20 extra kilos!
And its much easer to work 12 hours a day doing what you love than working 8 hours in a dead-end life sucking job!
It’s much easier being single that putting up with a jerk-off partner that doesn’t respect you!
Don’t talk yourself out of living your ideal life because it’s “hard”!
Life is hard! Especially when you’re going for big goals, changes, and dreams!
“Life is about the journey, not the destination!”
The bulk of your life is the journey. The end game is the destination. Setting an empowering destination creates an empowering journey!
You’ve got one life to live. And 70, 80, 90 years goes fast.
Are you really going to let 60, 70, 80% of your life get used up with unnecessary suffering?
How can you enjoy the journey more and appreciate every single day you are breathing and living on this earth?
I’ll tell you how… Do what you LOVE and fu*k what everyone else thinks about it!
As I said, people will project THEIR fears and lack of confidence onto YOU. Don’t buy into it!
If I bought into other peoples fears and limitations I wouldn’t have followed my dreams. I wouldn’t have the best life ever today!
I’d still be “stuck in a rut”
I challenge you to re-evaluate your life if you’re in a rut! Even if you’re not in a rut, maybe it’s worth while evaluating your situation to AVOID a future rut!
If this blog changes just ONE PERSON, and gives them the courage to go for what’s important to them, my job is done!
Hopefully YOU’RE that person! 🙂
Seriously, have the best day ever… Enjoy the journey, the process, the grind, the hustle. If you’re on you’re path it’s worth every drop of sweat, and every tear!
Go get em’ tiger! LOL.
P.S. Do you need support with this?
